About the Badge

The Stargaze on a Quilt Badge celebrates the simple magic of taking a quilt outside, looking up, and letting the night sky turn into part of the quilting adventure. This badge invites members to use a quilt as a cozy landing spot for stargazing, sky watching, constellation spotting, or simply spending time outdoors after dark.

Badge Requirements

• Learn how to identify at least three constellations, planets, moon phases, or night sky features.
• Choose a quilt to bring along for your stargazing outing.
• Pick a safe outdoor location with a clear view of the sky.
• Spend time stargazing on or with your quilt.
• Document the experience with a photo, sketch, logbook note, or list of what you spotted.
• Reflect on how using a quilt changed the experience.

Embroidered Patch
