About the Badge

The Quilts of Valor Badge honors the act of making a quilt for the Quilts of Valor Foundation, which awards quilts to service members and veterans. This badge is about sewing with care, following donation guidelines, and contributing to a meaningful quilting tradition built around comfort, gratitude, and handmade work.

Badge Requirements

• Learn about the Quilts of Valor Foundation and review its current quilt requirements.
• Choose a pattern, size, fabric, and design approach that fits the organization’s guidelines.
• Make or help make a quilt intended for donation through Quilts of Valor.
• Finish the quilt with quilting, binding, and labeling as required.
• Follow the organization’s instructions for donating or submitting the quilt.
• Reflect on what it meant to contribute to this project.

Embroidered Patch

The embroidered Quiltbound badge is made with high-quality embroidery on a twill backing and measures 2" x 2".

Vinyl Sticker

The vinyl sticker version measures 2" x 2" and is a fun, easy way to celebrate your badge without picking up a needle.
