About the Badge

The Hike for Quilt Photos Badge combines quilt photography with a little outdoor adventure. This badge is about taking a quilt out into the world, finding a beautiful or meaningful backdrop, and documenting your work somewhere beyond the sewing room. It can be a mountain overlook, a neighborhood trail, a park, a beach, a desert path, or the dramatic corner of your backyard that gets really good light.

Badge Requirements

• Choose a quilt that can be safely transported for an outdoor photo adventure.
• Pick a location that fits your quilt, your comfort level, and the weather.
• Pack what you need to protect yourself and your quilt, such as water, clips, a lint roller, a bag, or an extra set of hands.
• Take photos of your quilt in at least one outdoor setting.
• Choose a favorite photo and make a note about where it was taken and why you chose that location.

Embroidered Patch

The embroidered Quiltbound badge is made with high-quality embroidery on a twill backing and measures 2" x 2".
