Fresh Picked was inspired by one of my favorite summer traditions: stopping at a roadside farm stand for a box of Palisade peaches. Grown beneath long, sunny days and cool Colorado nights, Palisade peaches are famous for being extra sweet, extra juicy, and absolutely worth pulling over for.
Originally released as Palisade, Fresh Picked was the very first quilt pattern I ever wrote. It felt only right to bring it along for this next chapter, with a new name and a fresh spot in the Quiltbound collection. The roadside farm stand inspiration keeps a little piece of its original Palisade story tucked inside.
Fresh Picked is a quick, modern quilt built from modified courthouse steps blocks set on point. The pattern is precut-friendly and works with 2½" strips and 5" squares, or you can pull from your fabric stash and use regular yardage. Instructions are included for both four-color and two-color versions, so there’s plenty of room to make this one your own.
