About the Badge

The Donate a Quilt Badge honors the generous side of quilting: making something with care and sending it out into the world to comfort, celebrate, support, or encourage someone else. This badge is about using your time, fabric, and skills to create a quilt with purpose. It can be made for an organization, a community effort, or an individual who would be blessed by a handmade quilt.

Badge Requirements

• Choose a person, charity, community organization, or cause that accepts quilt donations.
• Review any guidelines before you begin, including size, fabric, labeling, deadline, or delivery requirements.
• Make or finish a quilt that fits the recipient’s needs.
• Quilt, bind, and label the quilt as appropriate.
• Donate or deliver the quilt according to the recipient’s instructions.
• Make a short note in your logbook about who the quilt was made for and what the experience meant to you.

Embroidered Patch

The embroidered Quiltbound badge is made with high-quality embroidery on a twill backing and measures 2" x 2".

This patch is designed to be sewn on, so you can attach it to a quilted tote, project pouch, denim jacket, badge banner, or wherever you’re keeping track of your quilting adventures.

Please note: this is not an iron-on patch.

Vinyl Sticker

The vinyl sticker version measures 2" x 2" and is a fun, easy way to celebrate your badge without picking up a needle.
