About the Badge

The Binding Boss Badge is for exploring the many ways a quilt can cross the finish line. Binding can be practical, decorative, scrappy, bold, nearly invisible, or the part of the quilt that quietly saves the whole thing from feeling unfinished. This badge invites you to try a few binding options, notice what works for you, and build confidence in your finishing skills.

Badge Requirements

• Learn about at least three binding styles or techniques, such as straight grain binding, bias binding, scrappy binding, flange binding, machine binding, hand binding, or decorative finishes.
• Choose at least two binding methods to compare or practice.
• Test your chosen techniques on samples, small projects, or actual quilted items.
• Finish a quilt or quilted project using one of the binding methods you explored.
• Make a quick note in your logbook about which technique you liked best and when you might use it again.

Embroidered Patch

The embroidered Quiltbound badge is made with high-quality embroidery on a twill backing and measures 2" x 2".

This patch is designed to be sewn on, so you can attach it to a quilted tote, project pouch, denim jacket, badge banner, or wherever you’re keeping track of your quilting adventures.

Please note: this is not an iron-on patch.

Vinyl Sticker

The vinyl sticker version measures 2" x 2" and is a fun, easy way to celebrate your badge without picking up a needle.
